We are a network of grandparents and others who offer support and assistance to grandparents denied contact with their grandchildren. Grandparents & Grandchildren who are denied contact through no fault of their own is a growing epidemic occurring throughout the land mass known as Australia. It is recognised as abuse of the elderly and the young. While the rights of the child are endorsed in the Family Law Act 1975, in reality many children are denied those rights. While we aim to stimulate public concern about the plight of grandparents and grandchildren denied contact, we propose solutions. Our goal is to promote, educate, support and preserve the grandparent/grandchild relationship. Children matter, grandparents matter too! |
